"Franken-Pillow" née Purse- Part 1 of 3

A layer of wool roving and a piece of silk gauze...

...are laid out under a foam resist (forming an internal pocket).


                           Black silk gauze is then draped over the entire project...



                                   ...followed by a layer of superfine merino roving.



                                               Embellishments are added...



                                           ...small pieces of hand-dyed silk...



                                          ...tiny, hand-rolled balls of roving...



                                           ... and decorative snippets of pre-felt.



                                           The whole project is then wetted out...

                                               ...and flipped to side two.



                                                    If you know me at all...

                                  ...you know that I absolutely love making purses!

                                     This particular one was not to be, however...

                                     ...but you'll soon see what it did become...
