Pencil Roving and Cut-Work
This scarf is an attempt to use two fun new things in my felting...pencil roving (a thicker and 'fluffier' yarn-type of product that can be used to easily 'write' or make designs in felting) and cut-work.
For the cut-work flowers, I used some felt that I had made in my JCC class as my doll's jacket. (I shan't tell you the details of the demise of my hideous doll, but suffice it to say that 'only her clothing remains'! Grin.)
I sandwiched the cut-work between thin layers of roving 'top', then added swirly designs of the pencil roving.
