Tote Twins (Fraternal)- Part 2 of ?

After turning the tote right-side out...

                                                     ...the felting continues.

As the surface begins to 'pebble'...

...the project takes a quick dip in hot water.

                                                Rolling and throwing the piece.

Checking the progress of the felting...

                                                            ...on each side.

Turning the tote inside-out for final felting and fulling.

                                                     The front and back sides...

                                                 ...prior to blocking and drying.

The finished tote (not quite this dark 'in person')...

...and again, showing the expanded tote bottom.

A close-up of the nuno texture (side one).

Side two of the completed tote...

                                                     ...and again in close-up.

                                                            The tote interior.

Showing off its flat bottom (side two)...

                                                            ...and side one.

Next time: its 'fraternal twin' is begun.

I do like the look of that - sturdy and bright, and some interesting textures!
