"Dollie" (Fantasy Mask Class)- Part 2 of ?

As felting begins in earnest...

                                                      ...the dyed silk hankies...

                                  ...decorating Dollie's headdress and breastplate...

                                                   ...become more visible.

As I work, special attention is paid...

...to her jawline, cheekbone, nose and ear.

                                                 After the resist is removed...

...I continue to rub and roll...

                                                   ...and Dollie's features...

                                                ...and blended skin tone...

                                                 ...become more visible.

                                                        The soft felt is cut...

...and the tape on the breastplate is removed...

...to reveal its 'cracked earth' surface.

                                                  This process is repeated...

                                               ...on her headdress, as well.

                                                       A newly 'sentient' Dollie...

...peering out at me from the spin dryer. :)

Next time: I use a lot of clips!

Rachel- I had stuffed her in the spinner, wet, and only as I was pulling her out like this, did I realize how funny it looked.
I was almost crying, I was laughing so hard! :)
