Silk-Embellished Travel Purse- Part 4 of 4

The finished purse (side one)...

                                                          ...and side two.

The zipper is basted into place...

...and then machine stitched for security.

A strap is fashioned from burgundy leather...

                                          ...wrapped through each felt loop...

                                                ...and securely stitched to itself.

I decided to attach it suede side out...

...so it would stay on my shoulder without slipping.

                                                         The finished bag...

...in all of its indigo glory!

A suede strap is a good idea. Slippery shoulder straps make shopping a real trial, don't they!

That purse is absolutely gorgeous. Love the blues, love the glorious printed silk from Kiki and Marjolein - just magic. and I'm intrigued that you baste in the zipper first. So smart.

Really love the colours of this bag! Looks like that neon fibre really has vanished.. can you see hints of it?

Great idea using the suede side for a non strip strap :)

Deborah- At the bottom (where it's 'wool only') you can see a slight shading, but just barely.
