Adding sections of printed silk...
...(some of which I purchased years ago from Marjolein Dallinga...
...and have been 'hoarding' ever since)...
...and some that were gifted to me by my friend, Kiki.
Mid-way through felting.
One of the felt loops wasn't as firmly attached to the bag as I desired...
...so I made a few 'anchoring' stitches with strong nylon thread...
...and the problem was solved.
Removing the pocket resists.
The bag begins to shrink...
...and the silk 'becomes one' with the wool. ;)
The bag interior...
...with its pair of brightly patterned...
...pre-felt pockets.
Side one during fulling...
...and side two.
Next time: I fashion a leather strap...
...install a zipper...
...and complete the bag!

It should be much easier to find the brightly coloured pockets than it is when they are the same colour as the lining...
As always, a purse making technically. Love following all the clear steps particularly the inside pockets making. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, that's a beautiful bag. In the last post, I was enjoying all those beautiful colors, and then you covered everything with black wool. I had no idea how that was going to work out, but I feared it would hide all the pretty colors, so I kept my mouth shut! LOL I should have known you would not do that. Very pretty. :)
Rachel--I do like a light lining with 'interesting' pockets for that reason! :)
Terriea--I'm glad you're enjoying this project!
Sandie--Those neon colors are really gone! It was roving that I wasn't crazy about... and as I was making it, I figured that if it showed up at all in the finished purse, it would just be as a subtle shade change. (Fine with me!) :)
Lovely bright inner pockets! :) I love the subtlety of the colours and silks..
xx
Deborah- Yes...the pockets are fun...kind of like yours with the spirals!!
