My Own 'Fling' Rug- Part 2 of 2

After turning the edges in...

...and rubbing for several more hours...

...I 'sign' the back with a friend's orange pencil roving.

(Thanks, Frances!)

My beautiful friend, Lindy...

...snapped this photo of me at the end of a loooong day of felting! :)

My finished rug, hanging to dry...

...and on display at our 'end of the week sharing'.

A close-up of the pre-felt rug details...

...perfectly flat and completely felted in...

...and at home, waiting to be hung on the wall.

Several hours? I'm not sure I'd have the patience!

Rachel-It was a bit of a marathon! :)

Amazing! So only rubbing, no rolling? I could not imagine how long that would take!

I'm glad to know it's going to be hung, and not walked on. I love how you signed it on the back. Great idea!! :)

Kelly- There was a very little rolling at the end, but you're right, it was a LOT of rubbing! :)

Jane and Deborah- I think that's one of the reasons I find classes so valuable. There's no way to 'wimp out' and not finish when there are encouraging instructors, time set aside and fun classmates! :)
