"My Life" Sculpture/Cowl- Part 2 of 3

Making more cuts into the partially felted piece.

The stitched and snipped project...

...prior to...

...and during the final felting.

The finished and dried piece after more 'scissors surgery'...

...can be twisted one way into a sculpture...

...or another...

...revealing shocking sections of color...

...like a geode or a millefiori bead!

As you can see...

...'my life' is not exactly as it may have first appeared! :)

By taking a pair of sharp scissors to the finished felt...

...we get a peek inside the dense, multi-layered layout...

...and into my colorful life, as well! ;)

Next time: more photos of the finished project as sculpture...

...and also, worn as a cowl!!

Wowza! Look at all of that color and texture. I want to reach through the screen and touch it.

So the question is, if someone points to an element, can you say what it represents?

Andrea--It's wild, isn't it?!? :)

That's incredible! How amazing is that to see the transformation, life is unpredictable that's for sure, but yours is certainly colourful :)

That is a mind bending beautiful piece of work. So complex and interesting; I can only imagine how exciting it is in 'real life'.

Wow, this is going to be a fascinating project, I can't imagine what it's going to look like when it's done!

Thanks for posting pictures of the engagement party. Love the color coordination of the purse, shoes and toes! I just got indigo toes yesterday, cool colors are in!

Plastusia--Thanks! :)
Cathy--Hahaha...yes...colorful it has been! :)
Linda--Thank you so much! It's quite a change from the layout, no?!? :)
Vivian--What you see is pretty much the 'finished piece'. No one knows exactly what it 'is', but my daughter has claimed it for use as a cowl (photos of her in it next time!).
...bet your toes are snazzy!! XO-

I admit, I instantly thought millefiori - that is just incredible! Can't wait to see it in all it's incarnations. :)

This is FANTASTIC!!! I am in love with all of the color, it created a texture, and that is awesome. I cannot wait to see it worn as a cowl!

Certainly a beautiful art piece. Your color sense is amazing. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Denise--Hahaha..."great minds..."!! :)
Kelly--It was an incredible way to create...not knowing...and still not knowing...but creating, nonetheless! :)
Ally--My color sense was all over creation while I was laying this one out...so I'm not sure I can take any credit for the way it came out. :)
