Handspun 'Art Yarn' Scarf- Part 2

The finished project.

Close-up...note the wonderful texture of the handspun yarn.

Version #1...as scarf.

Version #2...as table runner.

With this project, I pushed myself out of my 'usual' color range (har)...

...and went for something multi-colored and festive!

I really enjoyed using handspun yarn in this piece...

...since I've always loved it, but, alas, I cannot knit or crochet.

I hope that this scarf (or table runner?)...

...will coordinate with many different coat colors or decorating schemes.

If you would like a chance to win one of the giveaway scarves, and didn't yet enter...

...please leave a comment here by midnight EST on Friday, March 11th.

Please let me know if you'd prefer the onion skin scarf or the art yarn scarf...

...and make sure that I have a way to contact you if you are one of the winners!

Very nice! I love the woven look. It almost looks like it could have been made on a loom. :) Thanks for the sweet comment on my last post! :)

ooooh, this one is so lovely too. I think I like this one more. Maybe because it does have the handspun yarn in it...who knows.

BTW, love your new ravatar. I love that bag, especially since I've had the pleasure of petting it in person ;-)

That is a lovely table runner. Also would be quite tempting for the cats in my household ;-)

Thanks, Deb! (So you're a cat lover, too?!)

I see now, I'm going to have to save some of my left-over homespun and send it to you so you can play with it. You are always coming up with new ways to make useful things, and I love your imagination and ingenuity, both of which I am in short supply of. :)

Wonderful work-I love both scarves for different reasons: the onion skin scarf is a graceful, swirly understated piece that would work almost anywhere; the hamdspun yarn, well, your plaid just blows me away!

Well done-and thanks for the inspiration!

I think the onion skin scarf is my favorite although I don't usually go for orange. But lately it's been attracting my eye. Thanks for the wonderful give away!
