The finished scarf.
The scarf indentations form a nice place for your neck.
The flaps provide protection against the wind.
She looks so wistful, doesn't she? Giggle.
Several of you wrote yesterday, asking to see my latest scarf modeled...
...but since all of my home-grown models are either working...
...or away at college...
...the disembodied head will have to do! :)

This scarf is so sophisticated; you'd think one would see it on the runway.......Great creation......
Do you mind sharing where you got your "head" from....I would love to try making a hat...guess I could use a bowl....any ideas....
oh heather, só beautiful, but a pity that your lovely daughter is not in it:)
It looks really fashionable! The expression on her face!!So haughty!
(giggle) But the scarf is a great idea to keep you warm. Hugzz..Peebee
Hahaha, Nicola--I KNOW she's awful! That's why I call her the disembodied head!!
Thanks, Hadiah, Riet and Peebee.
Nancy--I found it somewhere on the internet-google 'hairdresser head manequin'...but you may want to find a better looking one in order to 'avoid ridicule' (giggle!!)
There are lots of hat-making tutorials (even videos) online. Here's one to start you off: http://members.peak.org/~spark/hatonaball.html
It really is sophisticated! I don't think I could ever pull it off...I love the idea of keeping the neck warm though...bitter cold, go away!
Thanks, Andrea...but I think it would look lovely on you. It's just my 'haughty model' that makes you think otherwise!! Har.
Good morning,
Love the scarf...Great design. You and Kim are both going to be famous fashion designers. Remember your old friends when you make it to the top:-) Now Nicola, I can't believe you don't like our models. Now aren't you going to feel bad if you find that they are treasured heirloom passed down from our great-great-great grandmothers? :-)
Hugs,
Dawn
That's right, Dawn...we should tell Nicola that our disembodied heads are made from gutta percha and bakelite (plastic precursors)and are one-of-a-kind treasures from the distant past!! Giggle
Love your work, you are so talented! Beautiful scarf!
