Yarn-Embellished 'Patches' Tote- Part 5

                                                    Applying a length of silk gauze...



                                             ...to the top portion of the project...

                                         ...(as later reinforcement for the straps).



                                                          Covering side one...



                                                 ...with layers of wool roving. 



                                                  After wetting the project out...



                                                     ...it's turned to side two...



                                     ...and the application of silk gauze and wool...



                                                            ...are repeated.



                                                       Side two is wetted out...



                                                   ...and the felting continues...



                                         ...until the resist can safely be removed.



                                                 Next time: rolling and rubbing.

It will be fascinating to see how these "patches" turn out when they are finished. I have a few ideas for when I have a nice, waterproof studio, and watching your projects helps keep them in mind!
