Yarn-Embellished 'Patches' Tote- Part 7

During the final felting...


                                                            ...care is taken... 



                                                      ...(even during fulling)...



                                             ...to maintain a rectangular shape...



                                                     ...in the felted envelope.



                                         While sorting through my 'leather stash'...



                                            ...I discovered a piece in acid green...



                                     ...and fashioned it into two strong handles.



                                               The fully felted and dried project...



                                                       ...awaiting its handles.



                                                 Next time: the completed tote.

I'm enjoying watching the process. It's quite work-intensive I see, and the results are beautiful.

I can just imagine if I were to attempt this, it would be hard to keep the piece rectangular and crisp....

Dawn--Thanks so much! Yes...this one took quite a few weeks to complete.
Rachel--You're right...that's the bit that takes some experience to sort out...a 'practice acquired' facility with wool. :)
