Yarn-Embellished 'Patches' Tote- Part 3

It took several weeks...


                                                              ...but slowly...



                                                               ...over time...



                                           ...I covered the whole of the pre-felt...



                                                        ...with hand-stitching...



                                               ...in various colors of wool yarn.



                                      The process was actually quite meditative...



                                     ...and I think that the back side of the project...



                                                      ...looks nearly as pretty...



                                                   ...when stitched like this...



                                              ...as the decorative fabric front! :)



                                              Next time: I enclose a resist!

Rachel--Hahaha...I thought the same thing, myself, but then decided that it would be a shame to ignore all of the lovely pieces of silk. Nest time, maybe I'll make a reversible project?!? :)
