"Windowpane" Table Topper- Part 2 of 2

The finished topper, drying.


                                      To me, it resembles a multi-paned window...



                                                ...with a landscape view. :)


                                The 'assertive' wool batt that I used in the background...



                            ...easily incorporated the pre-felt squares during felting.


                                             
                                             On the back side of the project...

                                 ...the squares are visible only as colored outlines...

                                          ...where the wool migrated through.
          

                                               To complete the table topper...



                                              ...I used embroidery thread...



                                                ...in a sympathetic color...



                                          ...and stitched along the project edge.

It is looking good, indeed! The subtlety of the migration of the fibres is very intriguing!
