"Windowpane" Table Topper- Part 1 of 2

   With wool from a very fluffy batt...



                                             ...I begin my latest table topper.



                                                 After wetting out the layers...

                                   ...I fold in the edges for a neat appearance.




                         Using variegated pre-felt squares from an earlier project...




                                                      ...I design the layout...

   ...and yes, I did notice that it has a rather Doctor Who 'Police Box' look about it! :)




                                            Once everything is carefully in place...


                                                    ...the project is wetted out...




                                                       ...and felting is begun.




                                                          The project back...




                                                     ...and front (during fulling).




                                           Next time: the topper is steamed flat...


                                       ...and a bit of hand-embroidery is added.
