Cutting out a large foam resist...
...plus a slightly smaller bubble wrap one.
(For a 'sectional' bag.)
Laying out wool from a fluffy, red batt...
...and beginning to encase both resists.
A little embellishment is added to the interior pocket.
Wrapping the 'bird beak' flap with wool.
Laying out layers of commercial pre-felt...
...to make an exterior pocket.
Wrapping the red wool to side two...
...and adding a grey pre-felt layer...
...and a blue one...
...and then some more grey and blue pre-felt designs...
...to the top of the bag as well!
The 'bird beak' flap gets some pre-felt additions, too:
A layer of blue over grey...
...with holes cut into each...
...applied to the red wool.
Taking a class from Fiona Duthie was a dream come true for me...
...and while I had her close-by, I decided to make my purse as complicated as I could!! :)
Next time: I add loops to the bag (for the handle attachment)...
...and finish the purse.
