Embellished Nuno Jacket- Part 1 of 3

Laying out a layer of silk with a patterned silk accent...


                               ...and covering it all with superfine merino roving.



                                    Adding decorative elements to the jacket front...



                                        ...commercial felt flowers and medallions...



                                 ...and metallic and neon-colored synthetic yarns.



                                    Adding a small piece of patterned silk and resists...

                                  ...(along with more ribbon yarn) to the jacket back.



                           After covering the body of the jacket with painter's plastic...

                                             ...both sleeves are laid out.



                                  The jacket collar also found a home in the stack!



                                                     After extensive rolling...



                                           ...the pre-felt is hung up to dry.



                                       Next time: Additional embellishments are added...

                                             ...and pre-felt becomes felt!

ooooh, I love jackets! How many layers do you use for a garment like that? I'm always amazed with how soft, light and fluid these are compared to when I've made hats and bags. Always amazing!
