'Mr. Green' Scarf (Scarf Blocking)

Using interlocking foam floor mats...

...and short straight pins with large heads...

...I laid out my dampened, knitted scarf...

...and began pinning it into place.

I used two pieces of easily removable, 'painter's tape' as an edge guide...

...to keep the long sides straight and even.

                                                                 The finished scarf...

...made with self-striping Mushishi wool-and-silk blend yarn.

                                                             My neighbor, Mr. Green...

...happily modeling his new Christmas scarf!

Next time: another knitted Christmas scarf!

Look at you! A Knitter. Great scarf. You might find investing in T pins help with blocking.

Thanks, Andrea! I think I may have some T pins hiding somewhere that I used for silk screening years ago.

What a great use for those interlocking floor mats!

Rachel-They're great for needle felting, too, if you can believe it!

A-ha, so Mr. Green likes the color green also. LOL

Good job on blocking that scarf. Back-breaking work for me though. LOL

Good morning,

Your knit scarf is fantastic .... You are a woman of many talents! ;-) Mr. Green looks quite dapper in your beautiful gift. He's a lucky man to own one of your designer pieces.

Hope that you're having a great day.

Big hugs,
Dawn
