Look at the lovely locks on these beauties!
I wanted to grab a pair of shears and get to work! :)
This wild-haired little fellow was just desperate to be noticed.
His insistent voice and antic movements drew a lot of attention...
...but made him hard to photograph! :)
This proud rooster looked just like his cartoon namesake...
...and the feathers on this one resembled the petals of a white peony!
Check out this 'perfectly accessorized outfit'...
...down to his matching 'shoes'! Grin.
The geometric pattern of this sweet hen's feathers...
...would be lovely to replicate in felt.
This dandy with his glossy burgundy body.
I couldn't believe the color of his tail feathers!
(They're a gorgeous, deep, sage green!)

Those tail feathers...! I remember seeing some birds a little like that last one at a farm we stayed on, except that the ones we saw were feathered all the way done the leg, right down to a ruff around the ankle!
Rachel- I couldn't believe the variety of fowl at the show!
...spectacular patterns and color combinations! XO
LOVE the super curly sheep! They are GORGEOUS!
Lovely chicken pics too, they are really pretty :) The first one with the crazy 'hair-do' makes me laugh.. they have some of them at the farm where we buy food.
xoxo
new inspiration to turn into felt :) It just popped to my mind, i never tried felting feathers in... wonder how that will look? Imagine making a sheep of wool and felt a feather in on the back... must become something strange or? Hmm i think i am going to search for some feathers tomorrow when i have time.
oooooh, I want that fleece too! I find the visits to the fair are so different now that I create fiber products. I see yarn, roving, felting and so much more in every fleece.
Deborah-Buying food fresh from a farm is so lovely!
Kim-I'll be anxious to see how your experiment comes out! (I really was only thinking of making a similar design in felt...not using real feathers, so your idea is a real innovation!)
Andrea-I know! There were sheep with fleece so thick, it felt almost like foam rubber, and I loved these two with their lovely, multicolored curly fleece! I was itching to get my hands on it!!
