A Plethora of Peculiar Projects- Part 11 ('Chicken Drumsticks' Purse)

Laying out layers of wool roving...

...and wetting them out...

...to make a soft pre-felt.

The flared shape of the purse was actually chosen...

...to use as much as possible of the finished pre-felt rectangle.

Stitching a pocket to the inside of side one.

Fashioning a foam resist...

...just slightly smaller than the two pre-felt pieces...

...which will comprise the front and back of the purse.

Adding a flap to side two.

Since I make a lot of purses (grin)...

...I'm always on the lookout for a simple strap or strap attachment...

...(see my other most recent innovation here).

This time, utilizing as much as I could of a finished rectangle of pre-felt...

...I set out to make another strap insertion which would allow for easy attachment.

Next time: I fashion the 'chicken drumsticks'.

Chicken drumsticks eh? OK, I'll be patient and see what you come up with. I'm sure it will end up looking just great. Everything else has, so far. :)
