'Puff The Magic Dragon' Scarf

Preparing two shades of green pre-felt...



...then trimming them into scarf-width strips...

...and stitching them together with nylon thread.

 
Cutting holes into the pre-felt surface...

 
...and adding sewn-on bits of wispy blue pre-felt for the 'scales'.

 
Wetting out the project and beginning the felting process.

 
The finished scarf front...

This finished scarf reminds me of a friendly, not a fire-breathing dragon! :)

 
Working with stitched-together pre-felt pieces, yet again...

...I made a pair of scarves (with male gift recipients in mind) using green pre-felt.

This one is the more dramatic of the two...

...and I think it quite resembles the imaginary dragons of my childhood.

Next time: the more subtle green scarf of the pair...

...and a chance to 'compare and contrast' with my other recent pre-felt scarves. :)
