'Under The Big Top' Scarf- Part 2 of 2

The pre-felt scarf with stitched on ruffles.

Placing a layer of thin plastic between the ruffle and the scarf...

...prior to final felting.

The finished scarf...

...with stand-up ruffles...

...in 'circus-bright' colors.

The back of the finished scarf.

See how some of the design comes through to the back after felting?

This was a fun scarf to make...

...because of its various 'elements'...

...and although it was comprised of many steps...

...it was not a difficult project to make.

Using a layer of plastic between the ruffle and the scarf during felting...

...made it easy to fully felt each component...

...without felting them together.

Rachel-Thanks! It's been so grey here, lately, perhaps I should have kept it for myself! :)

That is one "happy" scarf, and that is what I like most about it. It's a fun scarf, and would be fun to wear too. You just have to keep a smile on your face with all that cheerfulness going on.

BTW I like your new blog avatar. :)

Glad you like my new 'weird me' avatar! :)
