Creating a pre-felt Dalek...
...who is not nearly as cuddly as this photograph might suggest!!
Looking through the plastic resist...
...to what will become the front side of my journal cover.

A hand-embroidered "Police Box" tops the TARDIS...
...and a Dalek guards the back of my journal.
"Exterminate!!"

"Exterminate!!"
Even though the extraterrestrial race of mutants known as the Daleks...
...are utterly without compassion, and know only hate...
...I can't help having a bit of a soft spot in my heart for them, anyway. :)
I chose to create a 'New Paradigm' variant for my journal...
...because the casing of the 'Scientist Dalek' is ORANGE!! Grin.
To make a themed bookmark for holding my place...
...I stitched two squares of soft leather (one with sewn-on initials)...
...to a brightly-colored length of grosgrain ribbon.
Now no one could possibly go home with this journal by mistake!! :)

My goodness, some people won't even dare touch it! The Tardis and the Dalek both look great - you've created wonderful representations of them!

The kids and me all love Dr. Who so we would be fighting over that :)
Love it x
I admit I am not a Whovian, but that doesn't mean I don't know where you are coming from, totally that is. And I think your little notebook cover is ingenius! That imagination of yours almost scares me, but I love how you keep coming up with such wonderful ideas. :)
That's fabulous! I really love what you do with felt!
Deborah--It's been interesting to find out who shares my DW lurve! :)
Sandie--Hahaha...glad you like it! :)
Rebecca--Thanks! It's always fun to make something new. :)
It's really great and I love the way you have finished the inside; must remember that. It's much neater! Love, Alexandra.
Alexandra--I just cut the felt into a nice, rounded shape after the felt is completely dry. It takes just a minute to do. :)
Have to admit I am still a bit afraid of Daleks, but I really like your felting. Even scarier though are the Cybermen!
Ginx Craft--Amen, sister!! Giggle.
Awww, that's super cute! You make me want to try felting!
Cathy--Thanks so much! Try something small and easy first, and I'll bet you'll be hooked! :)
I love your posts, they always make me smile. That's a great book cover.
Thanks, Ally!!
