'Slip-Ups' Slippers- Last Pair

Wool roving, silk, wool yarn.

The layout...with the 'outside' in, closest to the resist.

Dark roving on the slipper interior...so the tops will fold down with a jolt of color.

The finished slippers...too poufy at the toe, and too pointy at the heel. Sounds like Old Hat, New Hat, doesn't it?!? Grin.

So, this is my final pair of slippers for awhile...

...as I've since moved on to other projects.

It seems like I just about figure it all out each time that I try them...

...but then I get bored and give up. :(

If I make another pair, I'll definitely trim the bumpy parts from the resist...

...and I'll try using a spongy, and more outerwear kind of wool!

oh, ruth! you're such a funny (funky) woman! i love all your slippers, this pair would be great to wear at our "carnaval"which takes part in 3 weeks. I'm not celebrating it, but will go on a small holiday with my friend ans to scotland. I have bad kees and she has a bad back, so together we'll use our good parts to enjoy our trip. love, riet:)

What fun! and they are all so delightful. I've not made the 'bootie' type...but it is always a trick to shape them. Have you tried smacking them with a spoon?

This comment is for ALL of your slippers. I AM VERY IMPRESSED!!! You can see the learning process working from one pair to the next, but IMHO, every one of them are just great. I would never have thought of making slippers with the two attached at the cuff, as you did. What a marvelous idea! Congratulations Heather!! You just get better every day. :)

Joei-I used a spoon for the first time today while making a hat with the lovely Dawn Edwards!
