Flower Power Scarf- Part Two

I'm really happy with how bright and cheerful-looking this came out...

...since it's for a young woman in a very cold climate.

I didn't want the flower shapes to distort...

...so I made sure to felt the scarf evenly in both directions.

Since some of the background colors were lighter than others...

...I decided to accentuate the borders of each flower a bit.

(So they didn't melt into the piece!)

I found some bright orange embroidery floss...

...and hand embroidered around the edge of each felted flower.

(Double click on the second photo for a better view.)

I think it will help to keep my friend warm in Antarctica...

...especially knowing that warm thoughts and care went into its creation.

Wow. That is just amazing!I love the colours, the flowers and the embroidery. It is perfect! Thank you so much!

I've been on night-watch this week and having to re-do my bun every time I pull my over-the-head neckwamer on has been driving me mad.

I can't wait to receive it! Our planes have been delayed again to 26th October now though...

Heather, You are amazing! Love it. How long is your table or counter? Looks like a mile in your pictures.
Hugs to you, Cameron

Thanks, ladies!! You are all so generous with your comments and love!!
Cameron--don't be too jealous :)...it's not a table or counter. I often photograph things on my hardwood floor in the front room, since the light is good there.

I've just come back for another look at it. I think the colours are going to work really well with my orange workwear and I'm going to be the envy of the bootroom!

Thanks again!
