Pieced Nuno Pre-Felt Purses- Part 2

Using a wildly patterned silk scarf...

...(purchased at the Vancouver Flea Market)...

...I repeat the felting process from Part 1.

Wool is applied to the surface of the silk...

...and wetted out, rubbed and rolled...

...to create another piece of nuno pre-felt.

                                                           Never fear (grin)...

                                                  ...as the project continues...

                                        ...these garishly patterned nuno pre-felts...

                                             ...will become utterly transformed!

Next time: I make four pieces at a time.

Love the pattern on this scarf, it's going to be gorgeous nuno felted! Xx

Thanks, Deborah. This is actually one that you see quite a bit in the finished work, because (sadly), it didn't felt very well. :)

Those scarves are glorious even before you transform them. You must have some great thrift stores in your area!!

Kathy--Hahaha...these square scarves were purchased new at the Vancouver Flea Market when I was there a year or so ago. They are not particularly attractive as scarves, but you'll see that they felt into gorgeous jewels of color! :)
