Spain and Scotland 2016- Part 1 (Cortijo Blanco)

We've just returned from a wonderful holiday...


                                          ...with darling friends, Sandy and Alex...



                       ...(expat Brits who retired to southern Spain some years ago).



                                                               While there...



                                                ...we had our own 'quarters'...



                        ...and a balcony perfectly suited for early morning coffees.



                                               Their home is utterly stress-free...




                            ...and filled with beautiful handmade textiles and art...


                                                       ...like wall mosaics...



                                      ...re-purposed from bits of chipped crockery.







                                   The garden is lushly filled with flowers and cacti...







                                     ...and it even holds a wrought iron gazebo...

                                     ...canopied with sweet-smelling honeysuckle.





                                             Next time: we head to Edinburgh!
