Spain and Scotland 2016- Part 2 (Edinburgh)

From these photos...

...you might think that we spent the whole week indoors...

                                                    ...(never fear, though...

...we did visit the Portrait Gallery, Dovecot weaving studios(!) and Modern 1 and 2)...

...but because each and every day it was pissing with rain...

...(a perfectly benign Scottish expression, I'm assured)...

...I left my camera at 'home'.

We were hosted by my friend Alex's brother...

...in this lovely New Town Georgian flat...

...and while there, we snacked on British items...

...like custard tarts (alright, Lionel?!?) ...

                                      ...kippered herring (surprisingly delicious!)...

                                                   ...'Bitter and Twisted' Ale...

...flavoured crisps, crumpets and a sticky snack roll called 'malt loaf'.

Next time: we visit museums in Malaga!

Wot, no deep-fried Mars bars?

Seriously, though - the New Town in Edinburgh is a great base for exploring the city!
