Geometric Flower Clutch- Part 1 of 2

Covering the resist with layers of wool roving...



                                              ...(only half-way up on side two).



                                Forming a spike from several lengths of pencil roving.


                                             Creating individual flower petals...


                                      ...from geometric snippets of bright pre-felt...


                                    
                                       ...and applying them to the flap of the clutch.



                                                     Forming a closure loop...



                                        ...and attaching it in the proper orientation.



                                                     Mid-way through felting...



                                   ...the design is starting to flatten and to integrate.



                                                  A thin strip of bubble wrap...

                                          ...helps to keep the loop closure patent.



                                                         Fulling the project.



                                                Next time: the finished clutch.
