"Bovine Leopard" Scarf- Part 1 of 2

Laying out a long piece of patterned silk...


                                        ...in a red, black and white leopard print...



                              ...and covering it with a single layer of merino roving...



                                                ...in a rather bovine pattern! :)



                                                    Wetting the project out.



                         Because the length of silk is longer than the table in my studio...

                                    ...I roll the wool-covered areas in bubble wrap...


                    
                           ...pulling the remaining silk onto the table in the process...



                                                 ...and complete the layout.



                                   The entire scarf is wetted out with soapy water...



                                                       ...and rolling begins.



                                   Next time: the finished 'double animal' scarf. Grin.
