"Dollie" (Fantasy Mask Class)- Part 5 of 5

"Dollie" readying herself...

                                                       ...for her 'big reveal'...

...as her clips and stitches are removed...

...and decorative beads are sewn on.

                                                    Because some of the silk...

...used between the layers of 'cracked earth'...

                                                    ...is, itself, embellished...

                                                ...the sequins and embroidery...

...lend additional drama to the finished headdress.

If you look closely, next to her nose on both sides...

...you'll see the mask's eye holes.

This means that the top of my head...

...only comes up to her eye level during wear.

                                             (Talk about feeling statuesque!!) Grin.

                                                            "Hello Dolly"!! ;)

She now presides over our dining room...

...from her perch atop a wooden coat rack...

                                            ...and can eavesdrop with impunity...

                                                        ...at each family meal!

Deborah--My son-in-law tried "Dollie" on yesterday (after several beers and a port wine or two) and was picking 'her' nose and smooching my daughter. It was either screamingly funny, or else I had had a couple of glasses of port wine, as well (maybe both?!?) ;)
