...and a felted-in mirror gives sheen.
There are color contrasts...
...loads of texture...
...and a patchwork quilt of felted-in fabrics.
I prefer the more 'aggressive' corriedale to the merino...
...because of the wonderful texture it provides!
The finished sampler.
(Looking at it just makes me happy.)

xx
Experimenting with techniques and materials is the best fun there is, isn't it!
Thanks, Deborah!
Rachel-YES!! :)
Now you just need to frame it and hang it up, and it will put a smile on your face daily.
Just because Merino wool is so very soft for wearing, does not guarantee it is the best for felting, obviously. When I am spinning, I much rather work with Black-faced Leicester wool than Merino.
Love the sampler! Very unique, and definitely YOU! :)
I also love the more aggressive wools!
I love it! I'm thinking about taking a sampler class this weekend.
Squeal! This Fiber Arts Friday, I'm going to share not one but two, yes two, felting projects. Long overdue.
Sandie- oh, I love BFL, too!
Kelci- ...and you make such lovely things from them, too!!
Andrea-Felting projects?!? Be still my heart!! (Can't wait!)
Absolutely gorgeous. It makes me happy to look at too.
The very Heather color and great textures. Such a good ref of textural effect. Thanks as always for sharing the wonderful skills.
Thanks, Jess!
