'Silk Bits' Nuno-Felted Bag- Part 3 of 4

The fully felted piece...

...shaped for drying.

The front of the bag with opening...

...and the back of the bag with pleats.

The silk 'felted-into' the wool in a lovely, nubby fashion...

...and the dyed silk colors remained bright and strong...

...despite all of the warm water, soap and 'enthusiastic' agitation!

Trimming a piece of green leather for a closure...

...and punching holes into it for a button attachment.

With this project...

...I tried something a little new with the shaping...

...and because my friend uses a small backpack more often than she does a purse...

...I created an asymmetrical opening for a different kind of closure.

Next time: the finished bag...

...with green leather straps.

Kolorystyka fantastyczna. Najbardziej spodobała się mojemu mężowi. On lubi takie kolorowe abstrakcje. Im bardziej kolorowo tym bardziej zadowolony.
