Hungarian Rhapsody- Part 5

Making samples...


                                                    ...of felt cords and strips...



                                                     ...and assembling them...



                                                        ...into a woven 'insert'.



                                                     Mid-way through felting...

                                 ...using leftover sample scraps as embellishments.



                                 The pre-felt additions are very nearly 'gobbled up'...



...by the hairy base wool.


                                                           When fully felted...



                              ...the bag is pinched into a 'lunch sack' shape for fun.



                            Our workshop was held in a festive community space...


                                                  ...in the lovely town of Györ...


                                     ...which boasts charming vintage shop signs...



                                         ...reflecting the service or items for sale.



                                       Next time: a tote with asymmetrical straps!
