We Had a Wedding!- Part 1 of 2

The venue for my daughter's wedding...

...in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania...

                                                   ...was rustic and secluded...

...and my bedroom in the main lodge...

                                               ...was absolutely enormous! :)

My daughter made such a stunning bride...

                                                         ...don't you think?...

...and we were thrilled to have the most perfect weather that day!

                                       The grounds were charmingly landscaped...

...and the chapel, like the rest of the outbuildings...

...featured the warm shades of natural wood...

                                                 ...plus stained-glass windows.

The bride, three sisters and a (new) sister-in-law.

                                                       The (very) dapper groom.

                                           My four wonderful daughters...one, two...

                                                              ...three, four. :)

I was asked to read a tender poem...

...(The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer)...

...which nearly had me in tears. ;)

Our beautiful newlyweds, Rob and Lydia...

                                                         ...Congratulations!

Next time: their festive wedding reception...

...and my votive candle holders 'in action'! :)

If I'm remembering correctly, that's 2 down now, and 2 to go, right? Well, maybe one or both of the other two won't want to marry, but generally they do, so I'm assuming that part. LOL Beautiful daughter, beautiful wedding. Thanks for sharing. :)

Sandie- To hear them tell it, my youngest two will never be heading to the altar...
...but life is long and people have been known to change their minds! ;)
