My second daughter is getting married (yay!)...
...and she asked for help with felted centerpieces.
Because the venue is quite rustic...
...I chose a neutral color palette.
Using strips and pieces of finished felt...
...plus fluffy white roving...
...I fashioned 'sleeves' of felt over foam resists.
...and each one will be unique.
A glass washboard is employed...
...to harden and finish the felt.
When each piece is fully felted...
...the irregular ends are folded in...
...to form a cylinder.
To maintain their shape during drying...
...I used a piece of PVC pipe as you might use a hat form.
Next time: a very generous gift from a loving friend...
...and the (many) finished votive holders!
