Paris 2015- Part 1 of 2

In Montmartre, we saw charming, painted tiles by Francisque Poulbot...

...enjoyed our hostess's beautiful balcony gardens...

...and (even though we shunned it as a tourist trap)...

...enjoyed the fact that our closest Metro stop was just opposite the Moulin Rouge!

We went out for a classic, French meal one day...

...to a century-old restaurant, the Bouillon Chartier.

Below: my delicious endive and roquefort salad!

I was over the moon when my twin daughters...

                                                   ...and my dear friend, Elis...

...joined me for a long girls' weekend.

We spent a leisurely couple of hours...

                                                ...at the Montmartre Cemetery...

...where one of the highlights was seeing Edgar Degas' grave.

A walk to Sacre Coeur was next...

                                                    ...on this fine, spring day...

                                                ...and we were richly rewarded...

...with a sweeping view of 'The City of Light'!

Next time: I see some art! :)
