Scenes Of Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Cube houses near the Blaak subway station...

...have dizzying views from inside.

My friend, Nienke and I...

...shown here for 'scale'. :)

An enormous new marketplace is being built in the city center...

...and there's a bustling and exciting urban landscape...

...everywhere you look!

Some details from the past have been preserved...

...in mosaics and stained glass shop windows...

...but there's a palpable 'young' energy to Rotterdam...

...that makes it a thrilling place to be!

Thanks for your patience during my blog break, dear readers!

I have just returned from my various travels...

...and in the next few weeks, I hope to take you along on a virtual trip with me...

...as I sort out photos, memorabilia, felt projects and stories from the last two months.

I promise that it won't be all 'what I did on my summer vacation' travel shots...

...there'll be photos of feltmakers, other artists and lots of fiber art amid the scenery, too! :)

Roterdam kojarzy mi się z rowerami. Liczę , że kiedyś uda mi się odwiedzić to urokliwe miasto. Zdjęcia super.

The cube houses look pretty dizzying from the outside, too!

Karolina-Glad you like the photos!
Rachel-Hahaha...you're right! The houses actually require specially designed furniture to fit the weird wall angles.

Holland is such an impressive country with old and new, dynamic and tranquil. A country of design !! Looking forward to your beautiful captures and posts next.
PS, have you changed to bloglovin? I did but don't know if I've already lost some follower also I noted some key words are automatically linked with ads (i.e. highlighed and linked to other website) just like your word "travel". My post of Ann's "house" does. It's annoying..... No way.

Just look how neat and clean it appears. I like those cube houses too. I bet that would be dizzying looking through those windows, especially the ones that look straight down! LOL Lovely place.

Terriea-I haven't had time to sort out any of my blog feeds, yet...but now I don't know what I'll do. What you describe with the linked ads sounds grim!
Sandie--Haha...I was told that many people who tried to live in them ended up giving up on it, due to discomfort!
