Rain Vessel- Part 3

The finished vessel...


                                              ...stiffened by the felted-in paper...



                                                            ...is quite rigid.



                                                              During fulling...



                                  ...I trimmed the top edge into 'water droplets'...



                                          ...and made a few pointy protrusions...



                                              ...with a narrow wooden chopstick.



                                               The text lightened during felting...

                                               ...(to the point of near illegibility)...



                                                ...but the bas relief additions...



                                                       ...retained their perky...



                                                ...and protuberant appearance! 



                                                     The finished rain vessel...



                                                  ...in all of its textural glory! ;)
