Museu del Disseny de Barcelona...
...(next door to Torre Agbar- Barcelona's own 'Gherkin')...
...is known sneeringly as 'The Stapler'.
Don't let its bland exterior fool you, though...
...it's well worth a visit!
In addition to the usual design museum suspects...
...couture clothing, furniture and jewelry...
...this one also has a rather cheeky exhibit...
...displaying corsets and underclothing...
...from earlier, less comfortable times!
...and oh, how I coveted these intricate little trinket boxes!
...from some very famous artists(!)...
...and a room full of cunning, inlaid chests...
...with masses of tiny drawers!
There was also a spectacular temporary exhibit...
...featuring stylish and innovative products...
...created to address the issues of safety, hunger, poverty...
...access and social justice.
Can you guess what these photos are?
An urban beehive...
...a 'ready to water' seed mat for small spaces...
...and a landmine detonator ball!
This elegant little house...
...was made from inexpensive and readily available materials...
...like cardboard packing tubes and plastic milk crates.

It sounds like a truly fascinating place - added to my List of Places To Visit!..
Many exhibits and very inspiring. When I view it I particularly find the lady under and the ceramic pots can be done by wool felt.
Rachel--The London design museum is wonderful, too...have you been?
Terriea--Thanks! Yes...there were lots of felting ideas there!!:)
