Yarn Bombing The Rocky Balboa Statue

The Rocky Statue...dressed in a pink sweater!

Yarnbomber Jessie Hemmons admonishes visitors to "Go see the art"!!

I just had to share this local fiber arts news with all of you today!

On April 2nd, an area yarnbomber took the time to remind people that the Rocky statue...

...might not be the most visit worthy attraction here in Philadelphia.

Why not?

Because the world class Philadelphia Museum of Art is located directly behind it!

How do I love this?

Let me count the ways!!

LOVE IT!

It is amazing how many people will travel to see a landmark like the Rocky statue but not visit the museum that sits right behind it.

My Grumpy has no interest in visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago yet I remember (pre-Grumpy) having the most amazing afternoon date visiting it.

If only people would open their eyes an experience the world through different eyes, it would be a better place.
