Mid-way through felting (front)...
...and back (with segmented pocket).
Once fully felted...
...the colors appear a bit more 'true to life'!
Cutting out leather sides, flap and strap...
...and machine-stitching them into place.
The finished purse bottom...
...back side...
...and open leather flap with reinforced buttonhole.
The interior of this purse is quite roomy...
...and the divided pocket helps to keep things neat.
...allowing for more comfort and functionality.
The finished purse front (with Moroccan button closure).
Next time: scores of tiny squares! :)

Very successful - and the leather sides give it an interesting "rolled" shape.
I love your creative bag designs! Particularly like the mix of coloured leather and felt here. And it looks a really practical shape. Any tips on where to get leather like this?

Thanks, Rachel!
Deborah-Tandy Leather is a great source for dyed leather.
Both of these flat felt purses have finished really lovely. And they look quite roomy inside too. Good work lady!! :)
Such beautiful collage, mixed media and firm purse. Also room for easy organising. You're so talented in making bags. Love it.
