Fiona Duthie's Fibre, Paper and Ink Vessel Class- Part 2!
Completely entranced...
...by fabulous Fiona's clever techniques...
...I add a lot(!) of decorative elements...
...to my project surface.
Mid-way through felting...
...the paper and ink begin to respond...
...in wonderful and curious ways.
For a bit of extra fun...
...the mouth of the vessel is trimmed...
...into a pleasing, irregular shape.
During fulling...
...the nearly completed vessel takes on a rather suede-like appearance!

I love how a written message...
...can be perfectly preserved in the finished felt!
Once all of our samples were completed...
...we created resists for our vessels.
I made mine with tubes...
...and embellished them with felt braids and balls.
