Talk about overloading your senses, I gather Italy is one of the places where that happens quite frequently. Gorgeous photos, and yet compared to seeing the real thing, doesn't even begin to tell how it must have been for you, seeing it all with your own eyes. :)
Sometimes you just have to lie on the floor to admire the ceiling!
Sandie-what you can't tell well from the photos is a sense of scale. Some of these ceilings were huge! :)
