Adding additional layers of fiber to each side...

                                                      Mid-way through felting...

                                                    ...the resist is removed...

                                          ...and the purse is turned right-side out.

                                       As I roll, the bag is folded in various ways...

                                              ...for even shrinkage during felting.

                                 A 'felting stone' aids in shaping its rounded base.

                                                            After some time...

                                               ...the purse is turned inside-out...

                                             ...and the pocket resist is removed.

                                                      As the felting continues...

                                              ...fibers from the embellishments...

                                      ...begin to migrate through the white merino.

                                             Shaping the nearly finished bag...

                                                   ...and blocking it for drying.

                       Cutting (and notching) a strap from a large sheet of leather...
