Embroidered 'Bumpy' Bag- Part 2

Repeating the layering process...


                                                            ...on side two...



                            ...with the addition of silk gauze, yarn, fabric snippets...



                                              ...and colorful merino roving.



                                    This project is actually an experiment of sorts...



                          ...as I endeavor to discover which elements will be visible...
                                           

                                                    ...(or at least textural)...



                                            ...through the layer of silk gauze...  



                                     
                                                     ...on the bag exterior.                                     



                                       Preparing small cords for hanging loops...

                        ...(bits of painter's plastic held in place by small rubber bands...

                                                ...help to keep the ends dry)...



                                           ...and wrapping them with wool yarn.



                             The loops are inserted between layers of wool roving...



                                         ...to help them attach during felting.



                                         Next time: one of the interior pockets...

                                    ...morphs into an iconic comic strip scene! :)
