During felting, the resist is 'imprisoned' in the felt...
...(creating the segmented pocket)...
...and it must be torn to be removed.
Fulling the felt.
The finished flat felt (back)...
...and front.
The completed purse (flap side)...
...and back side.
I used green leather, this time...
...with the suede side 'in'.
The bright orange interior of this purse...
...makes finding one's keys a festive experience! :)
You'll notice that the shadow stripes in the brown silk...
...remain visible after felting, adding interest to the flap.
Next time: the last bag in the series.

The green leather works beautifully here - bright and picking up the green in the felt. Well done!
Another GORGEOUS "Heather" bag!! I have loved every one of these flat felt bags you've made. Nice and roomy, full of vibrant colors, great but simple design. Every one is is delightful. You are going to have to open an Etsy shop. "Heather's Bags" sounds good to me. :)
What a great bag! I love to see your "dotty squares", they always make me smile :)
Rachel-I do love that green leather!
Sandie-Hahaha...glad you like them.
Teri- I do love geometric forms. I think it's all the math I took in college. :)
