Fringe and Nuno

The brown scarf is a nuno felt attempt (my first). I needle-felted wool roving onto the front and back of the silk, then wet-felted it; leaving 'windows' of silk. Hopefully the photo in front of the window shows this.

I found some black and white (hunks of each color) wool roving and tried a scarf with fringe. I am enchanted, in general, with the 'organic'...the bumpy, knobby, and irregular. I've seen scarves which resemble angle fish with strange 'fake worm' protrusions popping out all over their surfaces. I just LOVE these! Mine is a bit timid, as yet...but I will keep trying.
