Hot Water Bottle Cover Redux- Part 2 of 2

After flipping the project to side two...


                                          ...I connect the 'tails' from side one...

                           ...with additional wave-like pencil roving embellishments.



                                                      Mid-way through felting...



                                          ...the pencil roving incorporates fully...



                                                 ....into the layers of wool.



                                        When the project passes the 'pinch test'...      


                

                                             ...the painter's plastic is removed...



                                   ...the flap is pulled down and around the back...

                         ...and a slit is cut for resist removal (and bottle insertion).



                         (The slit is hidden by the flap when it's pulled back into place.)



                            The finished cover is allowed to dry on its bottle insert.



                                                          My latest felt cover...



                                             ...sports a rather 'aqueous' theme...



                       ...(appropriate for what's inside, don't you think?!?) Giggle.

Yes, the pencil roving produces a lovely rippling effect, doesn't it!
